    10 WAYS TO INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY (AND ELIMINATE STRESS)





The world is too tough and competitive and productivity is the need of the hour. It helps us to be focussed and do what we want to do in a planned manner. So here are 10 Ways To Increase Productivity And Eliminate Stress:-


SETTING UP A SPACE-

  1. Keep your workplace customised-

Prepare a space where you can concentrate only on your target. If you want to prepare for a test, make sure you have books, pens, highlighters and a notepad at ready. If you’re working on a presentation that is on a creative note, go for an artsy atmosphere with plants, lighting and required material for a lively feeling.

      


  1. DE- CLUTTER your stuff-

The first and foremost thing you should do before you start working ( and also happens to be  the most common advice). Decluttering makes your space feel lighter and look lighter. So make sure you don't skip this part. 


INTERNAL MOTIVATION-

  1. How not to fall asleep-

After a neat set up of the place, you must already be feeling good, but the moment you start working, dizziness and sleep creep out of nowhere. As if they don't have any time, sleep makes its entry only during work! Keep green tea or coffee next to you (or even a DIY herbal tea with herbs does the trick). Breathe in at times, speak to yourself about your target-make a group discussion with yourself. 


  1. Try to train yourself- Say NO to phones-

It’s actually not only to phones- any other thing that you think distracts you, keep it out of the room. A phone addiction is really bad for your productivity. There is something called a DO NOT DISTURB MODE. Though I am being sarcastic here, I have a point. Put it in silent mode. If you have a strong urge, get up and move out. Talk to someone in your family face to face, in person. It will push out the boredom. Later you yourself will come back to your work. 




HOW TO PLAN

  1. Make sure your ideas and targets are in front of your eyes-

Write down whatever ideas you have on a sheet. Also write how you are going to execute it. When things are in front of your eyes, you have a clear picture. Everything-no matter how dumb or how small the idea or target is; it should be on the paper.You have a clarity on what you are working.




  1. Checklist it all!

If you have a checklist, you have a plan. List down everything, to every single detail. Set a time limit to the task. Push yourself to rule out every task in your checklist. 



  1. PRIORITIES and TIME-

Set priorities to your tasks. Divide time to each target according to its time consumption and priority. In order to distribute time efficiently, prepare your checklist accordingly.


FOR LONG HOURS + STRESS ELIMINATION

  1. Take a break!

If not one, take two of them or as many as you want. And that break can include anything- Talking to someone in your family, playing with your dog or listening to a favorite track. If you do this at least once in an hour for five minutes, it’ll bring great jazz to your work time!




  1. Don't stress out- AT ALL!

It’s simple, you stress out when things don't happen in the way they should. When don't things happen? When there is no proper planning. You plan- You don't stress out!  Simple as that. Something additional?  Read this Article.


  1. A good night’s sleep+Happiness= Minimal stress -

The better you sleep, the better you feel while working. It energises your mind and makes you ready for the next day. But it depends on the quality of your sleep. Make sure that your thoughts don't interfere with your sleep. If they are, you need to do something about the targets in your checklist(either shorten the list and take out something or finish them faster, be more efficient 👍)


If all of the above things are part of your routine, you're good to go! You have so many things to do and achieve, so don't waste time! Just trust yourself and utilise every moment you get, but don't stress out over it!
